Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when España Cubo took the kick off in the first half of the match. Cornelio Cimas hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Samaniego Herriaga came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Chischiguin's Yépez Mancebo. But to his dismay, Yépez Mancebo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Cosanga FC's zone, Nicolás Rivadeneira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Samaniego Herriaga came out of the goal and Nicolás Rivadeneira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arias Sierralta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 32 minutes into the match, Chischiguin's goalkeeper Vasco Obana had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vito Cervilla. In the 32nd minute, Vito Cervilla reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Vasco Obana. The goal made the score 1-1. If Arias Sierralta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Armando Fariña's late challenge caught a Chischiguin's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Armando Fariña helped the player get up and apologised. Armando Fariña hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Arias Sierralta struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Samaniego Herriaga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chischiguin. In the 46th minute, Geovanny Irizar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Yépez Mancebo to make the kick off. Yépez Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samaniego Herriaga having to interfere. In the 59th minute, Chischiguin's Yépez Mancebo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. In the 64th minute España Cubo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vasco Obana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yépez Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Samaniego Herriaga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Umea Felpeto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by España Cubo in the 82nd minute of play forced Chischiguin's goalkeeper Vasco Obana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chischiguin's Arias Sierralta got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Chischiguin booed when Cosanga FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armando Fariña didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Yépez Mancebo came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Chischiguin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yépez Mancebo couldn't finish the play. Yépez Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the final whistle sounded Chischiguin left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Cosanga FC.
