To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Morán Masas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angel Tio in the 13th minute of play. Morán Masas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angel Tio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Angel Tio came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Totumos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Angel Tio couldn't finish the play. Zernin Bradi's late challenge caught a UD Picincay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zernin Bradi helped the player get up and apologised. In the 22nd minute, one of Totumos:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Totumos. Xabier Brito went to the wrong direction when Veronica Bonilla was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Nixon Domingo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 24thth minute, Xabier Brito skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Xinaro Mendecute charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Xinaro Mendecute the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Angel Tio in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Morán Masas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 33rd minute, Angel Tio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Totumos getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Parisi Eijo hit a great ball. The audience held their breath when Veronica Bonilla in the 42nd minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Xabier Brito's left hand side. 47 minutes into the game, UD Picincay's Nixon Domingo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Xabier Brito made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
