Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Colorado's Campos Atilano started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jairo Perero stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Campos Atilano's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. After a rather tough play, Pun FC's Chico Puerto got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Jairo Perero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paco Idalgo in the 4th minute of play. 7 minutes into the match, Pun FC's goal looked a bit too open when Paco Idalgo came free, but Jairo Perero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 9 minutes, Villafuerte Labrada mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Colorado and the Pun FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jairo Perero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Campos Atilano in the 22nd minute of play. A collision led to Pun FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Chico Puerto hit a great ball. Carlos Devalla's late challenge caught a Colorado's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlos Devalla helped the player get up and apologised. Carlos Devalla hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Paco Idalgo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Colorado's Paco Idalgo got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 39th minute, Guamán Rivadeneira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pun FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Colorado's zone, Guamán Rivadeneira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cruz Burualla came out of the goal and Guamán Rivadeneira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After 52 minutes of play, Pun FC's Guamán Rivadeneira made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cruz Burualla was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Guamán Rivadeneira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pun FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Guamán Rivadeneira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cruz Burualla breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Guamán Rivadeneira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Cruz Burualla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Xano Quejo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pun FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Xano Quejo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cruz Burualla breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 72nd minute Xano Quejo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cruz Burualla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Colorado's Cruz Burualla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guamán Rivadeneira in the 75th minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, Campos Atilano dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jairo Perero, 2-2. Xano Quejo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paco Idalgo might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jairo Perero. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paco Idalgo ran back to his position shaking his head. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
