The supporters of Potrerillo SC booed when UD Iguinda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgar Torrens didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 25 played minutes, Potrerillo SC's Gustavo Labra shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ataulfo Honorato came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Potrerillo SC reached it. When Xamin Cebadilla fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Potrerillo SC's protests and gave Xamin Cebadilla a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Potrerillo SC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Orlando Sana was the one to do the kick off. Venceslao Roda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Villafuerte Migolla in the 52nd minute of the match. Villafuerte Migolla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Potrerillo SC's zone, Azconzábal Mostache stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Venceslao Roda came out of the goal and Azconzábal Mostache tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Justavino Rois took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ataulfo Honorato. Ataulfo Honorato dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Ataulfo Honorato made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Sana in the 66th minute of play. After 66 minutes, Edgar Viteri mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the UD Iguinda and the Potrerillo SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to UD Iguinda getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Edgar Viteri hit a great ball. Ataulfo Honorato showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Justavino Rois in the 68th minute of the match. Venceslao Roda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Villafuerte Migolla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77th minute, Azconzábal Mostache left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The UD Iguinda fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Edgar Torrens might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Venceslao Roda. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edgar Torrens ran back to his position shaking his head. 85 minutes into the game, Azconzábal Mostache cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Venceslao Roda was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. During the 88th minute of the match Edgar Viteri completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Edgar Viteri a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 89th match minute, UD Iguinda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgar Viteri to maneuver through the defense. In the 94th minute, Azconzábal Mostache left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The UD Iguinda fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. When the match was over UD Iguinda could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Potrerillo SC throughout the match.
