Danny Aponte hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Zambisa's Jacinto Amarelle got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lopez Infante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Victor Cifuentes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Zambisa's zone, Costante Abad stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victor Cifuentes came out of the goal and Costante Abad tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Zambisa's Victor Cifuentes got control of the ball when Lopez Infante tried to sneak it across the goal line. Victor Cifuentes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Costante Abad in the 17th minute of the match. Zambisa's Victor Cifuentes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Zambisa from getting a goal against them. After having played for 24 minutes, Jacinto Amarelle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zambisa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jacinto Amarelle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Purin's goalkeeper Roberto Arana, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jacinto Amarelle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Roberto Arana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Jacinto Amarelle came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Zambisa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jacinto Amarelle couldn't finish the play. Roberto Arana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan-Angel Peres in the 40th minute of play. Juan-Angel Peres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. The supporters of Purin booed when Zambisa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonides Balaunde didn't get a good kick on the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Costante Abad to make the kick off. Victor Cifuentes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Purin. Victor Cifuentes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lopez Infante, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. 58 minutes in the game, Juan-Angel Peres fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Roberto Arana having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Purin's Jose Cenzano got a free kick in the 62nd minute. In the 71st match minute, Purin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Cenzano to maneuver through the defense. 77 minutes into the game, Lopez Infante cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Victor Cifuentes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ignacio Reizabal's late challenge caught a Purin's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ignacio Reizabal helped the player get up and apologised. Ignacio Reizabal hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. If Costante Abad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute of the match Victorio Tristan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Victor Cifuentes skillfully saved the ball. After 91 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Zambisa! The referee gave Purin a penalty, 92 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ambrossi Briones, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Zambisa's Victor Cifuentes. 2-0. In the 95th match minute, Zambisa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Quiróz Dragranda to maneuver through the defense. Ambrossi Briones, 100 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal.
