The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Through an outstanding action, after 4 minutes, Rosero Vozmediano successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Pedro Landaburu might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rosero Vozmediano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pedro Landaburu ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd rose to their feet as Chaulla SC's Vermudo Artadi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rosero Vozmediano. That made the score 1-0 after 11 minutes of play. Texeira Lloret showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Braulio Antigua, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. After a rather tough play, Chaulla SC's Carlos-Armando Rocafort got a free kick in the 15th minute. Braulio Antigua charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Braulio Antigua the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Chaulla SC booed when Checa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Braulio Antigua didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rosero Vozmediano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vermudo Artadi, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. A collision led to Checa getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Carlos Soberon hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Vermudo Artadi took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Rosero Vozmediano to make any attempt to save it. Braulio Antigua received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Texeira Lloret tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 45 minutes into the game, Diego Ali was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Checa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chaulla SC the free kick. A collision led to Checa getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Diego Ali hit a great ball. After 47 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Checa! The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

If Pedro Landaburu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Pedro Landaburu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chaulla SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Landaburu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rosero Vozmediano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With his leg Texeira Lloret managed to avoid a goal in the 58thth minute, when Checa's Juan-Pablo Corral fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Braulio Antigua sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Braulio Antigua had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Checa's Diego Ali got a free kick in the 62nd minute. In the 63rd minute Vermudo Artadi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rosero Vozmediano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 64th minute, Pedro Landaburu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rosero Vozmediano was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. If Braulio Antigua had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Braulio Antigua received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Texeira Lloret tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vermudo Artadi in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rosero Vozmediano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 76 minutes, Carlos-Armando Rocafort mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chaulla SC and the Checa players grew even worse after the yellow card. Braulio Antigua sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlos-Armando Rocafort hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Chaulla SC's Texeira Lloret got control of the ball when Juan-Pablo Corral tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rosero Vozmediano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Landaburu in the 85th minute of the match. Braulio Antigua received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Texeira Lloret tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Juan-Pablo Corral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Juan-Pablo Corral who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 94thth minute tested the skills of Texeira Lloret when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Many of Checa's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Checa may have spent more time on the ball, but Chaulla SC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
