Weather Torrado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Texeira Lloret having to interfere. Weather Torrados short, quick shot in the 31stth minute got Texeira Lloret to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Dannes Astiategui fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chaulla SC's protests and gave Dannes Astiategui a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Tihuano booed when Chaulla SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dannes Astiategui didn't get a good kick on the ball. Weather Torrado struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Texeira Lloret didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tihuano. After 46 played minutes Chaulla SC got a freekick which was hit by Juan Poladura. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The Tihuano fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Tihuano were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
