Xulian Quincoces was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 32nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After having played for 47 minutes, Zeledon Aledo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UD Zhondeleg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zeledon Aledo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zeledon Aledo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Paco Medeiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Neicer Ceballo in the 91st minute of the match. Geovanni Sala charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Geovanni Sala the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
