Marcos Valcuende made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Eugenio Sirgo sent off a good shot on target. In the 12th minute Zunbeltz Telena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Nogueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Zunbeltz Telena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Nogueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zunbeltz Telena in the 16th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Hugo Algara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ningomine's supporters rose to their feet, but Hugo Algara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Nogueira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eugenio Sirgo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Inguiza booed when Ningomine was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paco Reboyras didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ningomine's Marcos Valcuende proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Ningomine from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Ningomine's zone, Intriago Gargollo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcos Valcuende came out of the goal and Intriago Gargollo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 46th minute, Eugenio Sirgo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Inguiza fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zunbeltz Telena to strike the kick off in the second half. If Intriago Gargollo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
