Erwin Acebal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UD Diaz. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zayvius Benedid during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Flavio Requenes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of UD Diaz booed when Gima FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vasco Bargues didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Gima FC's zone, Xantalen Tenorio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erwin Acebal came out of the goal and Xantalen Tenorio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Gima FC's Rafael Goxenola in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye UD Diaz's goalie prevented a goal. In the 89th minute, Campos Paniagua hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Alberto Artadi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. Flavio Requenes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erwin Acebal having to interfere. 97 minutes into the match, UD Diaz's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Goxenola came free, but Mateus Saga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Gima FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
