Costante Olabarrieta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Campos Foubelo in the 3rd minute of play. Campos Foubelo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 18th match minute, Palenque was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Umea Narria to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, CD Bajana's Espinoza Ascazua tried to score from far away in the 19th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valencia Buyeres in the 22nd minute of play forced Palenque's goalkeeper Villota Comas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Palenque's goal looked a bit too open when Valencia Buyeres came free, but Villota Comas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Campos Foubelo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mateo Silva kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Claudio Font could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Villota Comas made a huge save. With a little luck, Palenque's Villota Comas got control of the ball when Lucio Montiano tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carabalí Motel during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Carabalí Motel hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. 60 minutes into the match, CD Bajana's goalkeeper Costante Olabarrieta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Campos Foubelo. In the 62nd minute Mateo Silva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Costante Olabarrieta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 65th play minutes Lucio Montiano shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Villota Comas and just under the crossbar into goal. 68 minutes into the match, CD Bajana's goal looked a bit too open when Umea Narria came free, but Costante Olabarrieta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Palenque's Campos Foubelo got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Villota Comas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valencia Buyeres in the 75th minute of play. When the match clock showed 76 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Valencia Buyeres sped through Palenque's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Villota Comas. After a defensive mix-up in CD Bajana's zone, Mateo Silva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Costante Olabarrieta came out of the goal and Mateo Silva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Valencia Buyeres's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Villota Comas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mateo Silva in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Costante Olabarrieta saved CD Bajana from getting behind. Mateo Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 94 played minutes CD Bajana got a freekick which was hit by Oswaldo Alva. Urki Sorriva, 95 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, CD Bajana could leave the field as winners, despite Palenque having more of the ball for most of the match.
