After some careless play in the Palenque defense, Eduardo Hinojos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Villota Comas. The Palenque fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Villota Comas should have stopped the shot. A hard shot 12 in the game by Campos Foubelo from a close distance when the talented Calisto Haza managed to make a qualified save. UD Punguy's players were relieved. Campos Foubelo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Calisto Haza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Villota Comas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roger Maldonado's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Palenque's zone, Eduardo Hinojos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Villota Comas came out of the goal and Eduardo Hinojos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mateo Silva struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Calisto Haza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Palenque. Perlaza Santoni hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. 35 minutes into the match, Palenque's goal looked a bit too open when Vicente Bucaran came free, but Villota Comas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roger Maldonado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Villota Comas having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mateo Silva stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Palenque's supporters rose to their feet, but Campos Foubelo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Calisto Haza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 97 minutes, Campos Foubelo made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. UD Punguy's Calisto Haza tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
