Cumbicus Jara made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Mauro Berdugo sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to CD Yapi getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Pedro Zaballos hit a great ball. In the 14th match minute, Sumo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mauro Berdugo to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 17 minutes, Urtzi Sole managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CD Yapi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Urtzi Sole was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Omar Ribass short, quick shot in the 21stth minute got Cumbicus Jara to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After having played for 23 minutes, Urtzi Sole managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CD Yapi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Urtzi Sole was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pedro Zaballos kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Vito Borica hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Checa Baez in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Angel Bengoechea prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mauro Berdugo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mauro Berdugo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cumbicus Jara having to interfere. 40 minutes into the game, Fabricio Forcada was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CD Yapi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sumo the free kick. Fabricio Forcada kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mauro Berdugo got free with Cumbicus Jara in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Fabricio Forcada was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 45 minutes had been played. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leon Sanjuan to strike the kick off in the second half. Mauro Berdugo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cumbicus Jara having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leon Sanjuan in the 61st minute of play forced CD Yapi's goalkeeper Cumbicus Jara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in CD Yapi's zone, Leon Sanjuan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cumbicus Jara came out of the goal and Leon Sanjuan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Flor Florian fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CD Yapi's protests and gave Flor Florian a yellow card for diving instead. In the 64th minute, Flor Florian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauro Berdugo in the 69th minute of play forced CD Yapi's goalkeeper Cumbicus Jara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of CD Yapi booed when Sumo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Omar Ribas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Omar Ribas hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Urtzi Sole managed to get in a good position for a shot. CD Yapi's supporters rose to their feet, but Urtzi Sole was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Angel Bengoechea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Urtzi Sole received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Angel Bengoechea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leon Sanjuan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Pedro Zaballos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 96 minutes, Leon Sanjuan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sumo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leon Sanjuan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
