An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelo Balmaseda in the 9th minute of play forced UD Quisquisale's goalkeeper Manolo Villaño to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcelo Balmaseda in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manolo Villaño prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Manolo Villaño showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xose Cifuentes, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Xose Cifuentes might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Manolo Villaño. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Xose Cifuentes ran back to his position shaking his head. Marcelo Balmaseda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mina Viveros kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Isaias Areces was the one to do the kick off. If Isaias Areces had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ysmael Legarda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isaias Areces in the 94th minute of the match. Isaias Areces struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Ysmael Legarda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UD Quisquisale. UD Quisquisale's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
