Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Eugenio Paternina got the match started through his kick off. A hard shot 5 in the game by Luis Queipo from a close distance when the talented Xizavier Escamilla managed to make a qualified save. Tumbez's players were relieved. Luis Queipo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eugenio Paternina blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Geovanny Valdaliso having to make a save. Nando Martiniana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Geovanny Valdaliso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ximenez Presilla was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 17th minute. Travesao's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Travesao's Luis Queipo got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luis Queipo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eugenio Paternina in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Geovanny Valdaliso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nando Martiniana in the 31st minute of play forced Travesao's goalkeeper Geovanny Valdaliso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 34 minutes, Ugaitz Casanande mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tumbez and the Travesao players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ximenez Presilla could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Xizavier Escamilla made a huge save. In the 40th match minute, Tumbez was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paz Cumbres to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Tumbez's Xizavier Escamilla got control of the ball when Luis Queipo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Xizavier Escamilla came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Travesao's Luis Queipo. But to his dismay, Luis Queipo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luis Queipo to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Travesao's goalkeeper Geovanny Valdaliso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Libertad Solsona. Geovanny Valdaliso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nando Martiniana in the 54th minute. In the 57th match minute, Travesao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ximenez Presilla to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nando Martiniana got free with Geovanny Valdaliso in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nando Martiniana struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Geovanny Valdaliso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tumbez. After having played for 66 minutes, Luis Queipo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Travesao's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luis Queipo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nando Martiniana came free with the goalkeeper in the 69th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Geovanny Valdaliso could save by the left post. 71 minutes into the match, Tumbez's Nando Martiniana sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Geovanny Valdaliso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Luis Queipo came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Travesao fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luis Queipo couldn't finish the play. In the 75th minute, Luis Queipo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nando Martiniana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovanny Valdaliso having to interfere. A long shot from Paz Cumbres in the 82nd minute of play was well struck, but Geovanny Valdaliso made a really good save at the right post. A collision led to Tumbez getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Ugaitz Casanande hit a great ball. Tumbez's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
