Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Xosepe Labastida got the match started through his kick off. 4 minutes into the match, Xosepe Labastida had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Murillo Bausa. Paletillas SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Xosepe Labastida was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Jesus Pereceira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Murillo Bausa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 15th minute, Lucas Logroño hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Freddy Amurrio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Freddy Amurrio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Jesus Pereceira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paletillas SC's Murillo Bausa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xosepe Labastida in the 23rd minute of play. In the 24th match minute, Paletillas SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Quiñónez Baez to maneuver through the defense. 25 minutes into the match, Palopamba's Jesus Pereceira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Murillo Bausa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Orfilio Rubi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paletillas SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Orfilio Rubi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valiente Viana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Palopamba's Valiente Viana got control of the ball when Orfilio Rubi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jesus Pereceira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Murillo Bausa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Murillo Bausa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xosepe Labastida in the 42nd minute of play. Jesus Pereceira might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Murillo Bausa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jesus Pereceira ran back to his position shaking his head. The Paletillas SC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Palopamba were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Freddy Amurrio made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Freddy Amurrio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jesus Pereceira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Murillo Bausa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xosepe Labastida, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Freddy Amurrio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 67th minute, Jesus Pereceira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Orfilio Rubi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Orfilio Rubi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Valiente Viana having to make a save. Freddy Amurrio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jesus Pereceira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Murillo Bausa having to interfere. In the 78th minute, Quiñónez Baez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Paletillas SC's Xano Seguin got a free kick in the 80th minute. 84 minutes into the game, Palopamba's Jesus Pereceira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Murillo Bausa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Valiente Viana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Freddy Amurrio, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The Paletillas SC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Palopamba's performance. The match ended with a win for Palopamba.
