The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Arlín Ubidea hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. After having played for 14 minutes, Pavel Francia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wakanteis's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pavel Francia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Pavel Francia came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Wakanteis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pavel Francia couldn't finish the play. Baldeón Nunez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pavel Francia went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 29th minute, Jaime Monroy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Baldeón Nunez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pavel Francia, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After the first half Wakanteis were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jaime Monroy was the one to do the kick off. The Wakanteis players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
