León Cedofeita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Hernainz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 11th match minute, Zhucay FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chico Acipreste to maneuver through the defense. Ricardo Sociats took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 14th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for León Cedofeita. Zhucay FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Pedro Hernainz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but León Cedofeita read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. After 17 played minutes Zhucay FC got a freekick which was hit by Hector Tarabejano. León Cedofeita stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pedro Hernainz's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. 20 minutes into the match, Pedro Hernainz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of León Cedofeita. Zhucay FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pedro Hernainz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Pedro Hernainz scored 0-2 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of León Cedofeita, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Pedro Hernainz fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jigua's protests and gave Pedro Hernainz a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Jigua's Pedro Hernainz got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Romo Zuñiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Zhucay FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Jigua were winning 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pedro Hernainz was the one to do the kick off. After 53 played minutes Zhucay FC got a freekick which was hit by Hector Tarabejano. Xulian Camara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Desiderio Barambio having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xulian Camara in the 59th minute of play forced Jigua's goalkeeper Desiderio Barambio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 61 minutes into the match, Romo Zuñiga notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Jigua's Desiderio Barambio. Desiderio Barambio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Zayvius Caunedo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but León Cedofeita made a huge save. León Cedofeita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Hernainz, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Zayvius Caunedo might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over León Cedofeita. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zayvius Caunedo ran back to his position shaking his head. Zhucay FC's León Cedofeita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Hernainz in the 69th minute of play. In the 70th match minute, Zhucay FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chico Acipreste to maneuver through the defense. Zayvius Caunedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without León Cedofeita having to interfere. León Cedofeita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Hernainz in the 74th minute of the match. Pedro Hernainz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Zhucay FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Chico Acipreste hit a great ball. After 83 minutes of play, Zhucay FC's Xulian Camara made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Desiderio Barambio was left in no man's land by his defense there! 87 minutes into the game, Romo Zuñiga cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Desiderio Barambio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Zayvius Caunedo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but León Cedofeita made a huge save. Pedro Hernainz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without León Cedofeita having to make a save. For all the effort they put into the match, the Jigua players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Zhucay FC.
