John Iturrate started the match with the kick off. Castillo Buyeres blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jairo Estancion having to make a save. Roger Arruda hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Duarte Mattei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mariano Teresa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roger Arruda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mariano Teresa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Duarte Mattei in the 31st minute. Roger Arruda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Mariano Teresa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ferrer Serrano hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. 40 minutes into the game, Castillo Buyeres cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Jairo Estancion was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Duarte Mattei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roger Arruda in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mariano Teresa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

CD Pasa's defense didn't have a chance, in the 60th minute, when John Iturrate scored to the left of an out of position Jairo Estancion, making the score, 0-2. Jairo Estancion showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from John Iturrate, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by John Iturrate in the 66th minute of play forced CD Pasa's goalkeeper Jairo Estancion to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, CD Caracas's Carlos-Armando Valverde got a free kick in the 66th minute. CD Pasa's Roger Arruda got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Duarte Mattei fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CD Pasa's protests and gave Duarte Mattei a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to CD Pasa getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Duarte Mattei hit a great ball. Mariano Teresa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roger Arruda in the 74th minute of play. In the 75thth minute of the game John Iturrate who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CD Pasa's Jairo Estancion was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mario Arguiz during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 76th minute, Mario Arguiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mario Arguiz was shown his second yellow card after 80 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Xzaver Cisquella might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mariano Teresa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Xzaver Cisquella ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of CD Caracas booed when CD Pasa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roger Arruda didn't get a good kick on the ball. When CD Caracas's John Iturrate in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye CD Pasa's goalie prevented a goal.
