Patricio Garival stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Silvio Abrante's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paulo Jacome during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, CD Pastavi's Paulo Jacome got a free kick in the 6th minute. Juan Villasinda, 7 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Zuberoa Montarco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patricio Garival having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Angulo Frera's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Patricio Soldevilla was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. After 12 played minutes CD Pastavi got a freekick which was hit by Silvio Abrante. With a little luck, CD Pastavi's Patricio Soldevilla got control of the ball when Uxio Moron tried to sneak it across the goal line. Angulo Frera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patricio Soldevilla having to interfere. Angulo Frera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Patricio Soldevilla made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Uxio Moron sent off a good shot on target. Minarica's Uxio Moron got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 38th minute, Batista Vidaurre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Justavino Zalvide sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zuberoa Montarco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Justavino Zalvide made the kick off in the second half. Patricio Garival made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zuberoa Montarco in the 55th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Justavino Zalvide managed to get in a good position for a shot. CD Pastavi's supporters rose to their feet, but Justavino Zalvide was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Patricio Garival breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Batista Vidaurre came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Minarica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Batista Vidaurre couldn't finish the play. Batista Vidaurre kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. When Zuberoa Montarco came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the CD Pastavi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zuberoa Montarco couldn't finish the play. Justavino Zalvide sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Patricio Soldevilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Batista Vidaurre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Justavino Zalvide struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Patricio Garival didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CD Pastavi. In the 80th match minute, Minarica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xove Guijano to maneuver through the defense. Zuberoa Montarco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patricio Garival having to interfere. Justavino Zalvide fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patricio Garival having to interfere. After 88 played minutes Minarica got a freekick which was hit by Batista Vidaurre. After having played for 89 minutes, Zuberoa Montarco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CD Pastavi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zuberoa Montarco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Minarica's defense didn't have a chance, in the 93rd minute, when Paulo Jacome scored to the left of an out of position Patricio Garival, making the score, 0-1. The CD Pastavi supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing CD Pastavi would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
