Vilson Veloso hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. In the 6th minute of the match Machay got a corner. UD Collaqui's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Matamba Puentes ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a rather tough play, Machay's Damian Lejarazu got a free kick in the 6th minute. Damian Lejarazu stood ready after the free kick and tried to head the ball into the goal, but got pushed from behind by one of UD Collaqui's defenders and the ball went out. Machay appealed in vain for a penalty, the referee looked over at the linesman, but the flag stayed down. No Penalty. Agustín Tofiño received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Geancarlos Husarte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Claudio Isern fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geancarlos Husarte having to interfere. If Claudio Isern had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Geancarlos Husarte stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Agustín Tofiño's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. 19 minutes into the game, Arturo Gomez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Machay's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave UD Collaqui the free kick. The supporters of UD Collaqui booed when Machay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arturo Gomez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Weather Ruich charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Weather Ruich the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 23rd match minute, Machay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Weather Ruich to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 24th minute of the game. One of Machay:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of UD Collaqui:s goal. Edgardo Olea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Geancarlos Husarte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Machay's Geancarlos Husarte got control of the ball when Claudio Isern tried to sneak it across the goal line. Machay's Arturo Gomez got his second yellow card of the match in the 37th minute. The referee ordered Arturo Gomez off the ground. Arturo Gomez hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. UD Collaqui's Fernando Echeguren couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 39th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Machay. Claudio Isern fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geancarlos Husarte having to interfere. 44 minutes into the game, Rosario Arcelay cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Adrian Redeño was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Claudio Isern made the kick off in the second half. Claudio Isern received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Geancarlos Husarte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 55 minutes into the match, Machay's goal looked a bit too open when Vilson Veloso came free, but Geancarlos Husarte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adrian Redeño made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rosario Arcelay in the 57th minute. Machay's Geancarlos Husarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vilson Veloso in the 62nd minute of play. Adrian Redeño didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rosario Arcelay went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Rosario Arcelay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrian Redeño having to interfere. Claudio Isern fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geancarlos Husarte having to interfere. If Edgardo Olea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 87th minute, Claudio Isern left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The UD Collaqui fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. If Claudio Isern had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. UD Collaqui were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
