After a rather tough play, Lucia FC's Nestor Corujo got a free kick in the 4th minute. In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lucia FC's goalkeeper Ismael Cortada, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ismael Cortada took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Desiderio Caller, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Desiderio Caller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Candelario Merida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Mill in the 14th minute of play. Manuel Mill scored 0-1 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Candelario Merida, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 23 minutes, Desiderio Caller managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Desiderio Caller was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 24 minutes into the match, Lucia FC's goalkeeper Ismael Cortada had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mariano Galarza. The audience was convinced that Manuel Mill's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Candelario Merida was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. 31 minutes into the match, Lucia FC's Manuel Mill sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Candelario Merida narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Leon Sarasola kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. In the 40th minute Desiderio Caller shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismael Cortada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rd match minute, Maras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodriguez Arco to maneuver through the defense. Manuel Mill's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Candelario Merida read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Desiderio Caller's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ismael Cortada was relentless in the 45th minute of the game.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Desiderio Caller made a kick off. Ismael Cortada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Galarza, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Maras were awarded a corner in the 57th minute after Lucia FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Zenaido Seca took the corner. Zenaido Seca made a great header on Maras's corner, it was just that Lucia FC's Ismael Cortada managed to reach the ball for a save. Ismael Cortada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Galarza in the 59th minute of play. Nestor Corujo charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Ismael Cortada showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Desiderio Caller in the 71st minute of the match. In the 77th match minute, Lucia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leon Sarasola to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 80 minutes, Desiderio Caller managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Desiderio Caller was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 83 minutes of play, Lucia FC's Suárez Chirinos made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Candelario Merida was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Maras's Candelario Merida got control of the ball when Suárez Chirinos tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Gómez Ricoy fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lucia FC's protests and gave Gómez Ricoy a yellow card for diving instead. In the 90th match minute, Lucia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gómez Ricoy to maneuver through the defense. In the 92nd minute of the match Yoel Gerica shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ismael Cortada showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Mariano Galarza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Lucia FC defense, Desiderio Caller kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ismael Cortada. The Lucia FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ismael Cortada should have stopped the shot. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Lucia FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
