Hernandez Soret's late challenge caught a Palmar SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hernandez Soret helped the player get up and apologised. After 3 played minutes Punguhuaico got a freekick which was hit by Hernandez Soret. A hard shot 4 in the game by Xarles Valdivielso from a close distance when the talented Lorenzo Cardarda managed to make a qualified save. Punguhuaico's players were relieved. Xarles Valdivielso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Lorenzo Cardarda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonatan Guardiola in the 19th minute of play forced Palmar SC's goalkeeper Danny Lorden to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 21 minutes into the match, Palmar SC's goal looked a bit too open when Humberto Toledo came free, but Danny Lorden reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonatan Guardiola's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Danny Lorden read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. Xamin Tijera's late challenge caught a Punguhuaico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 39th minute of the match Wellington Cardoza sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Danny Lorden skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, Punguhuaico's Hernandez Soret got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Celso Guemez, 43 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eduardo Lorza to strike the kick off in the second half. Danny Lorden made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Jonatan Guardiola sent off a good shot on target. Jonatan Guardiola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Danny Lorden tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 63 minutes into the match, Xarles Valdivielso notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Punguhuaico's Lorenzo Cardarda. Lorenzo Cardarda was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Xarles Valdivielso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Lorenzo Cardarda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 70 minutes, Jonatan Guardiola managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Punguhuaico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonatan Guardiola was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Humberto Toledo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hernandez Soret kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. When Eduardo Lorza fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Palmar SC's protests and gave Eduardo Lorza a yellow card for diving instead. After a defensive mix-up in Punguhuaico's zone, Eduardo Lorza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lorenzo Cardarda came out of the goal and Eduardo Lorza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Jonatan Guardiola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Danny Lorden didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jonatan Guardiola went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduardo Lorza in the 89th minute of play forced Punguhuaico's goalkeeper Lorenzo Cardarda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Jonatan Guardiola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
