When Tyrone Meruelo came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Farfan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tyrone Meruelo couldn't finish the play. Alonso Aguinagalde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Magaña, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 7 minutes into the match, Farfan's goal looked a bit too open when Jesus Corrillos came free, but Iván Arnuero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Jesus Corrillos came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Lazul SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jesus Corrillos couldn't finish the play. Alonso Aguinagalde made an important save on a dangerous shot by Martinez Ayasti in the 20th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Lazul SC's zone, Martinez Ayasti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alonso Aguinagalde came out of the goal and Martinez Ayasti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Magaña in the 25th minute of play forced Lazul SC's goalkeeper Alonso Aguinagalde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 30 minutes into the match, Lazul SC's goalkeeper Alonso Aguinagalde had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Martinez Ayasti. Iván Arnuero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Rojo in the 35th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Farfan's goal looked a bit too open when Jesus Corrillos came free, but Iván Arnuero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Martinez Ayasti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Alonso Aguinagalde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Victor Rojo came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Lazul SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victor Rojo couldn't finish the play. If Victor Rojo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jesus Corrillos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Jesus Corrillos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iván Arnuero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Blandón Bracero's late challenge caught a Farfan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Blandón Bracero helped the player get up and apologised. In the 63rd minute, Blandón Bracero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Farfan getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Leonardo Fito hit a great ball. Alonso Aguinagalde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Magaña, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. The supporters of Farfan booed when Lazul SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blandón Bracero didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 71st match minute, Farfan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Magaña to maneuver through the defense. Lazul SC's Victor Rojo got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Jesus Corrillos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iván Arnuero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jesus Corrillos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee felt a red card was in order, 82 minutes into the game, when Tonio Portugal put in a rough tackle. In the 82nd minute, one of Lazul SC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Lazul SC. In the 85th minute there was a penalty for Farfan. Figueroa Randoli stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Alonso Aguinagalde. 1-0. A collision led to Farfan getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Ortíz Cajigal hit a great ball. Iván Arnuero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Victor Rojo in the 95th minute. After 95 minutes, Zuñiga Eugenio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Farfan and the Lazul SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Zuñiga Eugenio kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Iván Arnuero made a fantastic save in the 99th minute, when Victor Rojo sent off a good shot on target. For all the effort they put into the match, the Lazul SC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Farfan.
