In the 10th match minute, Engullima was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alonso Parserises to maneuver through the defense. In the 12thth minute of the game Luciano Iribarren who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Engullima's Rodrigo Zahonero was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Blanco Tricio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Rodrigo Zahonero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rodrigo Zahonero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luciano Iribarren in the 16th minute of play. In the 16th match minute, Engullima was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oswaldo Godos to maneuver through the defense. 24 minutes into the match, Pucay's goal looked a bit too open when Salvador Viñuela came free, but Patricio Poncelas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Luciano Iribarren came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Pucay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luciano Iribarren couldn't finish the play. Engullima's Rodrigo Zahonero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Blanco Tricio in the 30th minute of play. Salvador Viñuela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patricio Poncelas having to interfere. If Salvador Viñuela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Félix Lami had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41st match minute, Pucay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xelo Tapia to maneuver through the defense. Félix Lami sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Félix Lami sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Patricio Poncelas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Salvador Viñuela, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. The Engullima supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Pucay's performance. The match ended with a win for Pucay.
