Xaime Echeto started the match with the kick off. After 5 played minutes Remolino got a freekick which was hit by Luis Moreno. Luis Moreno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Estacio Orsini having to interfere. When Ugutz Liviano came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the CD Vieneza fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ugutz Liviano couldn't finish the play. The supporters of CD Vieneza booed when Remolino was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Urdaspal Enriquez didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 20th minute of the match Jorge Marron shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fleitas Cepa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 30 minutes into the match, Remolino's goalkeeper Fleitas Cepa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ugutz Liviano. When Miguel Guillaumet fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Remolino's protests and gave Miguel Guillaumet a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Remolino getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Miguel Guillaumet hit a great ball. Remolino's Fleitas Cepa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Remolino from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Luis Moreno managed to get in a good position for a shot. Remolino's supporters rose to their feet, but Luis Moreno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Estacio Orsini breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Urdaspal Enriquez fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Remolino's protests and gave Urdaspal Enriquez a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Remolino fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 36th minute. Penalty! In the 39th minute of the game, CD Vieneza got a penalty. The shot went straight in by the left post. Ugutz Liviano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fleitas Cepa made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Ordóñez Muñiz sent off a good shot on target. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Reyes Gegunde made a kick off. Estacio Orsini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reyes Gegunde in the 53rd minute of the match. Xaime Echeto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Fleitas Cepa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lavallén Usategui kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reyes Gegunde in the 66th minute of play forced CD Vieneza's goalkeeper Estacio Orsini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luis Moreno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fleitas Cepa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ugutz Liviano, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Arnoldo Reñe hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Estacio Orsini made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Luis Moreno sent off a good shot on target. Reyes Gegunde fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Estacio Orsini having to interfere. 93 minutes into the match, Ugutz Liviano notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Remolino's Fleitas Cepa. Fleitas Cepa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lavallén Usategui during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 96th minute, Lavallén Usategui hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Remolino's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
