UD Borrero's Krikorian Retes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save UD Borrero from getting a goal against them. Rubio Ocariz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Urtsin Torio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bernardo Guereña having to make a save. After 19 played minutes Zhurunit got a freekick which was hit by Xeromo Oterino. In the 22nd minute Rubio Ocariz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Guereña saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 25 minutes into the game, Xepe Govantes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zhurunit's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave UD Borrero the free kick. The supporters of UD Borrero booed when Zhurunit was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xepe Govantes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th minute, Xepe Govantes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Krikorian Retes was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Krikorian Retes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ximun Eugenio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 36 minutes into the match, Zhurunit's goal looked a bit too open when Urtsin Torio came free, but Bernardo Guereña reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute Urtsin Torio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Guereña saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Victor Ordoñez fell near the penalty area in the 48th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored UD Borrero's protests and gave Victor Ordoñez a yellow card for diving instead. Victor Ordoñez hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. Krikorian Retes made a fantastic save in the 49th minute, when Xepe Govantes sent off a good shot on target. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Urtsin Torio was the one to do the kick off. Ximun Eugenio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ambrossi Ascot hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. If Ximun Eugenio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ambrossi Ascot kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in UD Borrero's zone, Humberto Eraso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Krikorian Retes came out of the goal and Humberto Eraso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. UD Borrero's Krikorian Retes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xepe Govantes in the 62nd minute of play. If Ximun Eugenio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Xepe Govantes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ximun Eugenio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Krikorian Retes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 76 minutes into the match, Zhurunit's Xepe Govantes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Krikorian Retes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 79th match minute, UD Borrero was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Falconi to maneuver through the defense. In the 80th minute, Ximun Eugenio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xepe Govantes in the 81st minute of play forced UD Borrero's goalkeeper Krikorian Retes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When UD Borrero's Urtsin Torio in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Zhurunit's goalie prevented a goal. The audience was convinced that Ximun Eugenio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Krikorian Retes was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. After 86 minutes of play UD Borrero's Victor Ordoñez was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 87th minute, Victor Ordoñez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 88 minutes, Ximun Eugenio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zhurunit's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ximun Eugenio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Krikorian Retes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xepe Govantes in the 90th minute of play. Rubio Ocariz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Bernardo Guereña tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 96 minutes of play, Zhurunit's Xepe Govantes made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Krikorian Retes was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Zhurunit had won after a very even match.
