The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Minda Valdueza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benjamin Guia, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Benjamin Guia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Ucubamba's Yader Cuebas got control of the ball when Luzuriaga Tejeyra tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ucubamba's Yader Cuebas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Ucubamba from getting a goal against them. If Luzuriaga Tejeyra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Urre Allende's late challenge caught a Ucubamba's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Urre Allende helped the player get up and apologised. Urre Allende hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Benjamin Guia struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Minda Valdueza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ucubamba. When the match clock showed 34 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Luzuriaga Tejeyra sped through Ucubamba's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Yader Cuebas. Cuero Barsi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamin Guia in the 43rd minute of play forced CD Gacela's goalkeeper Minda Valdueza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Benjamin Guia to make the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alexandro Escabi during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Freddy Prieto charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Freddy Prieto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Ucubamba booed when CD Gacela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Freddy Prieto didn't get a good kick on the ball. CD Gacela's Minda Valdueza proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save CD Gacela from getting a goal against them. 68 minutes into the game, Erick Fontoria was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CD Gacela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ucubamba the free kick. A collision led to CD Gacela getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Erick Fontoria hit a great ball. Jesus Ratra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Minda Valdueza having to interfere. In the last second Minda Valdueza throw himself and got hold of the ball when Benjamin Guia in the 77thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. The supporters of CD Gacela booed when Ucubamba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Palacios Villapadierna didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cuero Barsi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cuero Barsi's late challenge caught a Ucubamba's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cuero Barsi helped the player get up and apologised. Cuero Barsi kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cuero Barsi in the 95th minute of play forced Ucubamba's goalkeeper Yader Cuebas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 97 minutes of play, CD Gacela's Luzuriaga Tejeyra made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Yader Cuebas was left in no man's land by his defense there! CD Gacela were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Ucubamba for a fine match.
