In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind CD Tunduana's goalkeeper Javier Lejarazu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, CD Tunduana's Carlos Santillion got a free kick in the 9th minute. Vermudo Montoto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Javier Lejarazu having to make a save. 11 minutes into the match, Ambrossi Cerezo notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of CD Tunduana's Javier Lejarazu. Javier Lejarazu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ambrossi Cerezo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. After 34 played minutes Zhondeleg FC got a freekick which was hit by Neicer Cameno. The supporters of CD Tunduana booed when Zhondeleg FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Neicer Cameno didn't get a good kick on the ball. 39 minutes into the match, Zhondeleg FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kléber Loyola came free, but Paúl Inchaurdi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

When Patricio Puertas came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the CD Tunduana fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patricio Puertas couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, CD Tunduana's Javier Lejarazu got control of the ball when Vermudo Montoto tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in CD Tunduana's zone, Ambrossi Cerezo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Javier Lejarazu came out of the goal and Ambrossi Cerezo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Carlos Santillion fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CD Tunduana's protests and gave Carlos Santillion a yellow card for diving instead. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
