Efrain Viñales didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Timpu's Osvaldo Clavell shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-1 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 18th minute, Jimmy Najera ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Efrain Viñales was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The referee gave Timpu a penalty, 38 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Raimundo Ibern, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Sacapiamba FC's Efrain Viñales. 0-3. Timpu's Osvaldo Clavell got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leonardo Barela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Americo Acebes in the 46th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Americo Acebes to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Orfilio Chinchetru's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leonardo Barela was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. Timpu's supporters rose to their feet, but Osvaldo Clavell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Efrain Viñales breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Orfilio Chinchetru's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leonardo Barela was relentless in the 87th minute of the game.
