The ball had pretty good speed, but Carlos Ascorbe firmly grabbed it by the left post. Xencio Cubillas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Elvis Lomas scored 2-1 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Carlos Ascorbe, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Xencio Cubillas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José-Manuel Reyna, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Zadornin Lucas hit a great ball. Zilar Dagora sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If German Llamazares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Cusibamba FC's Zenaido Bruna got a free kick in the 47th minute. When José-Manuel Reyna came up free with the goalie in the 49th minute, the Jobo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José-Manuel Reyna couldn't finish the play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Elvis Lomas made the kick off in the second half. Elvis Lomas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Ascorbe having to interfere. After having played for 59 minutes, Zilar Dagora managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cusibamba FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zilar Dagora was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If José-Manuel Reyna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cusibamba FC's Elvis Lomas got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Jobo getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Elias Yribarren hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elvis Lomas in the 73rd minute of play forced Jobo's goalkeeper Carlos Ascorbe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 75 minutes into the match, Cusibamba FC's Elvis Lomas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carlos Ascorbe narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Elvis Lomas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlos Ascorbe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. Carlos Ascorbe didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Elvis Lomas went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-3 was the resulting score.
