Ranchito's Angel Laranga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zornin Palermo in the 44th minute of play. After 45 minutes, Joaquin Azaceta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ranchito and the Cutzatagua FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Ranchito's Joaquin Azaceta got a free kick in the 46th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
