Isaloma's supporters rose to their feet, but Sergio Cascales was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Xiao Abadia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Isaloma fans' excitement grew in the 12th match minute when Isaloma's Sergio Cascales looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Chiriboga Corredera blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Xiao Abadia having to make a save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jacinto Feruel was the one to do the kick off. Arlín Blas's late challenge caught a Romeros's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arlín Blas helped the player get up and apologised. Arlín Blas hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Sergio Cascales might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Xiao Abadia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sergio Cascales ran back to his position shaking his head. 55 minutes into the game, Chiriboga Corredera lined in a short shot 2-2 behind a frustrated Xiao Abadia. If Sergio Cascales had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Isaloma's Chiriboga Corredera got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Sergio Cascales managed to get in a good position for a shot. The supporters of Isaloma booed when Romeros was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilfredo Peñacastillo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adolfo Corral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Videl Montaño tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
