The tension between the Cabuyal SC and the Semir players grew even worse after the yellow card. Yaniusky Galli placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Miguel Xandri during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rodney Burset showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Campos Vivanco, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Segundo Cardiel notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Semir's Fernando Coronel. Fernando Coronel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Segundo Cardiel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 20 minutes into the game, Yoelvis Mazmela was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Semir's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cabuyal SC the free kick. In the 20th match minute, Semir was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yoelvis Mazmela to maneuver through the defense. Edgardo Cañada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rodriguez Lossada charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rodriguez Lossada the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 24th minute, Rodriguez Lossada hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 28th minute Segundo Cardiel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Coronel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernando Coronel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Segundo Cardiel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Campos Vivanco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodney Burset having to interfere. Cabuyal SC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Campos Vivanco 34 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. Campos Vivanco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Segundo Cardiel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cabuyal SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Segundo Cardiel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fernando Coronel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Segundo Cardiel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Segundo Cardiel to make the kick off. During the 55th minute of the match Miguel Xandri completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Miguel Xandri a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Miguel Xandri kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 58th minute Campos Vivanco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodney Burset saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th match minute, Cabuyal SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xamin Muñio to maneuver through the defense. Xicu Ciaño recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cabuyal SC's Edgardo Cañada got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Semir's Fernando Coronel got control of the ball when Wilfredo Pelaez tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 72nd minute of the match Rogelio Verdesoto sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rodney Burset skillfully saved the ball. If Rodriguez Lossada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Xicu Ciaño recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Xamin Muñio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Fernando Coronel made a huge save. After 87 minutes of play, Cabuyal SC's Edgardo Cañada made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fernando Coronel was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Salvador Proaño during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Salvador Proaño hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Xicu Ciaño fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodney Burset having to interfere. Rodney Burset showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xicu Ciaño in the 93rd minute of the match. Omar Arruta charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Omar Arruta the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Semir booed when Cabuyal SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Omar Arruta didn't get a good kick on the ball.
