Tenorio Zumista's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rodrigo Castañera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Mechichi's Rodrigo Castañera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Mechichi from getting a goal against them. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Mechichi supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Mechichi would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
