Cruz Bricianos hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Calhuache's Xurdin Onil got control of the ball when Alfonso Maria tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Zernin Barroiz took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Xurdin Onil to make any attempt to save it. Carlos-Alberto Urruchua fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xurde Cavia having to interfere. Alfonso Maria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xurdin Onil having to interfere. Xurdin Onil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zernin Barroiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After 52 played minutes Calhuache got a freekick which was hit by Oswaldo Echarriza. Xurdin Onil didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alfonso Maria went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Carlos-Alberto Urruchuas short, quick shot in the 58thth minute got Xurde Cavia to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Calhuache's Xurdin Onil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zernin Barroiz in the 59th minute of play. Xurde Cavia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humberto Pumar in the 64th minute of play. Zernin Barroiz scored 3-1 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Xurdin Onil, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Xurde Cavia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Humberto Pumar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 75 minutes into the match, Darío Tramontes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Xurdin Onil. Calhuache's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Darío Tramontes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Alfonso Maria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xurdin Onil having to interfere. Xurde Cavia was out of position in the 89 minute of play, and Humberto Pumar capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Humberto Pumar really showed his touch with that goal: 4-2. Calhuache's Xurdin Onil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mora Cladera in the 94th minute of play. Humberto Pumar might have been able to make a better finish in the 97th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Xurde Cavia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Humberto Pumar ran back to his position shaking his head. Chimbiquiti's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
