Lavalle Moreruela's late challenge caught a UD Colope's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lavalle Moreruela helped the player get up and apologised. Lavalle Moreruela hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Vachon Izaran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurelio Anel having to interfere. After 8th play minutes Alonzo Rioseras shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Garrido Sotuela and just under the crossbar into goal. When Vachon Izaran came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the UD Colope fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vachon Izaran couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vachon Izaran in the 24th minute of play forced UD Piedras's goalkeeper Aurelio Anel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Garrido Sotuela made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cruz Bacon in the 32nd minute. After 32 played minutes UD Colope got a freekick which was hit by Henry Melgar. Vachon Izaran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurelio Anel having to interfere. In the 38th minute, Guerrón Vega hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. UD Colope's Lisandro Orihuela got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 41 played minutes UD Colope got a freekick which was hit by Xanti Cervantes. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alonzo Rioseras was the one to do the kick off. If Alonzo Rioseras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Garrido Sotuela took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cruz Bacon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cruz Bacon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Garrido Sotuela having to interfere. If Alonzo Rioseras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wilson Heces hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. UD Colope's Vachon Izaran got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lisandro Orihuela got free with Aurelio Anel in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When UD Piedras's Alonzo Rioseras in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye UD Colope's goalie prevented a goal. In the 83rd minute, Gerardo Vitores hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Vachon Izaran came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the UD Colope fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vachon Izaran couldn't finish the play. Cruz Bacon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Garrido Sotuela having to interfere. After 96 minutes of play UD Colope's Xanti Cervantes was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. UD Piedras's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
