If Urtsin Fuentecilla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Xaver Araico blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Baldeón Helguera having to make a save. In the 11th minute, Yépez Brugos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 16th minute, González Areces left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Malpas SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 20 minutes into the match, Malpas SC's goalkeeper Baldeón Helguera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Xaver Araico. Urtsin Fuentecilla hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. CD Montesinos's Xuaco Vasallo was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 26th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Xaver Araico was extremely unlucky when he, in the 35th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. If Xuaco Vasallo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute, CD Montesinos's Xaver Araico ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Baldeón Helguera. Baldeón Helguera yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. In the 43rd minute of the match, Xaver Araico got a very nice opportunity to score, but Baldeón Helguera was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when González Areces made the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Cotera Quintero sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Udalaitz Hoyon threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Cotera Quintero this time. Baldeón Helguera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xaver Araico, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Urtsin Fuentecilla hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Baldeón Helguera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xuaco Vasallo in the 62nd minute of play. In the 63rd minute, Igor Repiso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 64th minute, Xuaco Vasallo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, CD Montesinos's Yépez Brugos got a free kick in the 70th minute. In the 73rd minute of the match Malpas SC got a corner. CD Montesinos's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cotera Quintero ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Cotera Quintero got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Udalaitz Hoyon quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. A collision led to CD Montesinos getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Yépez Brugos hit a great ball. Baldeón Helguera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xaver Araico, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. 96 minutes into the match, Malpas SC's goal looked a bit too open when Xaver Araico came free, but Baldeón Helguera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The CD Montesinos fans cheered their team off the field, for while Malpas SC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
