The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience was convinced that Ur Tazon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Amador Puget was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. Ensenada FC's Cornelio Izana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jairo Casa in the 11th minute of play. Amador Puget showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jose Ubidea in the 20th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jose Ubidea in the 25th minute of play forced Pichanillas's goalkeeper Amador Puget to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Ensenada FC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Ur Tazon hit a great ball. Jairo Casa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Ensenada FC's zone, Timoteo Camango stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cornelio Izana came out of the goal and Timoteo Camango tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 45th minute Jose Ubidea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amador Puget saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Miguel Alvaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 53 minutes into the match, Pichanillas's Timoteo Camango sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cornelio Izana narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Valerio Mazuca was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 56th minute. Ensenada FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Ensenada FC's Ur Tazon slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Amador Puget. That made the score 0-1 after 59 minutes of play. Cornelio Izana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Timoteo Camango in the 63rd minute of play. Zorion Labandera charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zorion Labandera the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 67th minute, Zorion Labandera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 68 minutes into the match, Ensenada FC's Gabriel Villalpando broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Joel Huerta took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 75th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cornelio Izana. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jairo Casa in the 77th minute of play forced Ensenada FC's goalkeeper Cornelio Izana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 84 minutes into the game, Ur Tazon cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Amador Puget was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Yépez Cobos hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. In the 92nd minute, Mario Villadiego sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Ensenada FC's Cornelio Izana didn't even have to move. After 94 minutes, Timoteo Camango made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Ensenada FC's Cornelio Izana tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The Ensenada FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ensenada FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
