Justavino Gabi stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Osvaldo Viego. 0-1. Dennis Iglesias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Osvaldo Viego tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Dennis Iglesias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 21 minutes into the game, Freddy Quer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Animas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave UD Cushca the free kick. After a rather tough play, Animas's Freddy Quer got a free kick in the 21st minute. When Zigor Umbria, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 24 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Osvaldo Viego was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Dennis Iglesias managed to get in a good position for a shot. UD Cushca's supporters rose to their feet, but Dennis Iglesias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Osvaldo Viego breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zenaido Lebrija showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugenio Raposo in the 29th minute of the match. Lisandro Albaratay hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. In the 30th minute, Eugenio Raposo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Animas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Leonardo Sandianes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 40th minute of the game. One of Animas:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of UD Cushca:s goal. Zigor Umbria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Animas players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. UD Cushca were winning 1-2.

A collision led to UD Cushca getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Navarro Ugalde hit a great ball. Rodríguez Cardon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Zenaido Lebrija tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dennis Iglesias's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Osvaldo Viego read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in UD Cushca's zone, Eugenio Raposo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zenaido Lebrija came out of the goal and Eugenio Raposo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 69 minutes, Dennis Iglesias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UD Cushca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dennis Iglesias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rodríguez Cardon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zenaido Lebrija having to interfere. Eugenio Raposo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zenaido Lebrija having to interfere. 81 minutes into the match, Zigor Umbria dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Osvaldo Viego, 1-4. After a rather tough play, Animas's Jorge Urtado got a free kick in the 86th minute. When Zigor Umbria came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the UD Cushca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zigor Umbria couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zigor Umbria in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Osvaldo Viego saved Animas from getting behind. UD Cushca's Zenaido Lebrija played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodríguez Cardon in the 96th minute of play. When the match was over UD Cushca could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Animas throughout the match.
