Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Zuberoa Guardo kicked off to start the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ursino Tebar during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 7th minute of the game. One of UD Charupe:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of CD Galapagos:s goal. In the 13th minute, Estrada Inarraza sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and CD Galapagos's Jaramillo Brochero didn't even have to move. Leonardo Puebla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Santo Alamo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mora Tejero kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Estrada Inarraza shot from long distance in the 26th minute, but Jaramillo Brochero was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. If Zuberoa Guardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Mora Tejero fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CD Galapagos's protests and gave Mora Tejero a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to CD Galapagos getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Mora Tejero hit a great ball. In the 35th minute of the match Estrada Inarraza shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jaramillo Brochero showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. De-Jesús Remon kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Hugo Noboa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jaramillo Brochero having to interfere. Hugo Noboa struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Jaramillo Brochero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UD Charupe. 45 minutes into the match, CD Galapagos's goalkeeper Jaramillo Brochero had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leonardo Puebla. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hugo Noboa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zuberoa Guardo in the 51st minute of play forced UD Charupe's goalkeeper Veto Giralte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zuberoa Guardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Veto Giralte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 56th minute, Santo Alamo fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Veto Giralte, passed just outside the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Santo Alamo managed to get in a good position for a shot. CD Galapagos's supporters rose to their feet, but Santo Alamo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Veto Giralte breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Veto Giralte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zuberoa Guardo in the 63rd minute of play. When Palacios Azcaraso fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored UD Charupe's protests and gave Palacios Azcaraso a yellow card for diving instead. In the 64th minute, Palacios Azcaraso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zuberoa Guardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Veto Giralte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of CD Galapagos booed when UD Charupe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pascual Madinabeitia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zuberoa Guardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Veto Giralte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. CD Galapagos's Zuberoa Guardo got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Santo Alamo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Veto Giralte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 80 played minutes CD Galapagos got a freekick which was hit by Mora Tejero. UD Charupe's Estrada Inarraza couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 81st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for CD Galapagos. Zuberoa Guardo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Veto Giralte read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. In the 95th minute Leonardo Puebla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaramillo Brochero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The CD Galapagos supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing CD Galapagos would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
