Xan Guardamiño who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 5thth minute tested the skills of Boris Maoño when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Xan Guardamiño fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boris Maoño having to interfere. Fernando Azpilcueta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chalá Herreras, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 11 played minutes UD Guasaya got a freekick which was hit by Baldeón Zotillo. The crowd rose to their feet as Neicer Cabello kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Boris Maoño. That made the score 1-0 in the 12 minute of play. Xan Guardamiño's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 15thth minute, Boris Maoño skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The supporters of Cariamanga booed when UD Guasaya was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Humberto Colado didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot 20 in the game by Xan Guardamiño from a close distance when the talented Boris Maoño managed to make a qualified save. UD Guasaya's players were relieved. 21 minutes into the game, Maximo Anillo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. UD Guasaya's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cariamanga the free kick. Fernando Azpilcueta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chalá Herreras, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Xan Guardamiño succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-0 in the 35th playminute. After some careless play in the UD Guasaya defense, Xan Guardamiño kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Boris Maoño. The UD Guasaya fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Boris Maoño should have stopped the shot. Boris Maoño didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Xan Guardamiño went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

The wind increased when Baldeón Zotillo made the kick off in the second half. Humberto Colado hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Cariamanga's Fernando Azpilcueta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baldeón Zotillo in the 58th minute of play. In the 60th minute, Cristian Herran got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lastra Torra hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. 65 minutes into the match, Cariamanga's Xan Guardamiño sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Boris Maoño narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Neicer Cabello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Neicer Cabello blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Boris Maoño having to make a save. After having played for 72 minutes, Chalá Herreras managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UD Guasaya's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chalá Herreras was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 73 minutes, Joel Sequeiros mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cariamanga and the UD Guasaya players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 73 played minutes Cariamanga got a freekick which was hit by Joel Sequeiros. Fernando Azpilcueta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baldeón Zotillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the 79th minute Xan Guardamiño shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boris Maoño saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 81 minutes had been played when some careless play by UD Guasaya's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gerardo Michel was slow to take the kick. During this time Cariamanga's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Cariamanga's Xelo Baeza to fire away a dangerous shot which Boris Maoño despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Baldeón Zotillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Xelo Baeza fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cariamanga's protests and gave Xelo Baeza a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of UD Guasaya booed when Cariamanga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xelo Baeza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cariamanga's Fernando Azpilcueta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Cariamanga from getting a goal against them. For all the effort they put into the match, the UD Guasaya players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Cariamanga.
