Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) After 7 played minutes UD Balzas got a freekick which was hit by Xandro Regil. In the 10th minute, Carlos-Armando Urrechua left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mercadillo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. UD Balzas's Maximo Pujado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vistruario Machon in the 15th minute of play. Vistruario Machon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Maximo Pujado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lopez Almonte took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 20th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Wilson Brasa. Mercadillo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Lopez Almonte shot a long shot in the 20th minute and a light blocked Wilson Brasa hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 1-1. David Cosmen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wilson Brasa having to make a save. David Cosmen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilson Brasa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. David Cosmen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fausto Gallaiztegui's late challenge caught a UD Balzas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fausto Gallaiztegui helped the player get up and apologised. After 27 played minutes Mercadillo got a freekick which was hit by Fausto Gallaiztegui. In the 29th minute UD Balzas were awarded a corner. Martinez Velayo went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Martinez Velayo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Wilson Brasa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After some careless play in the Mercadillo defense, Marcelo Berinduaga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilson Brasa. The Mercadillo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilson Brasa should have stopped the shot. When Vistruario Machon came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Mercadillo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vistruario Machon couldn't finish the play. Maximo Pujado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carlos-Armando Urrechua in the 43rd minute. Carlos-Armando Urrechua might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Maximo Pujado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carlos-Armando Urrechua ran back to his position shaking his head. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.
The wind increased when Vistruario Machon made the kick off in the second half. Wilson Brasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Cosmen in the 54th minute of the match. Marcelo Berinduaga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Wilson Brasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mercadillo's Vistruario Machon managed to work through UD Balzas's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Vistruario Machon dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. 71 minutes into the match, UD Balzas's goal looked a bit too open when Vistruario Machon came free, but Maximo Pujado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Mercadillo booed when UD Balzas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. René Suarez didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Mercadillo's Raul Burgueño tried to score from far away in the 73rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After having played for 80 minutes, Carlos-Armando Urrechua managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mercadillo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos-Armando Urrechua was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Mercadillo's Ursino Colmenares got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Marcelo Berinduaga in the 84thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Wilson Brasa, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marcelo Berinduaga during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Mercadillo booed when UD Balzas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelo Berinduaga didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Vistruario Machon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mercadillo's supporters rose to their feet, but Vistruario Machon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maximo Pujado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The UD Balzas supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing UD Balzas would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
