The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 4th minute of the game. One of CD Vainilla:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Tobachiri FC:s goal. In the 5th minute there was a penalty for Tobachiri FC. Samuel Yerro stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Xalbador Araña. 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Ugaitz Rosinos managed to get in a good position for a shot. CD Vainilla's supporters rose to their feet, but Ugaitz Rosinos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roger Botella breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Justavino Gandulla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ugaitz Rosinos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Roger Botella read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. If Rocio Luey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21st minute Rocio Luey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roger Botella saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roger Botella showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romulo Trigueros, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 36th minute, Wilson Padron hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 38 minutes into the game, Rocio Luey recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Roger Botella. Rocio Luey showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. After having played for 41 minutes, Quiróz Frenes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tobachiri FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Quiróz Frenes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Justavino Gandulla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th match minute, Tobachiri FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Montalvo Asuaga to maneuver through the defense.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rocio Luey was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th minute Ugaitz Rosinos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roger Botella saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 58th minute, Rocio Luey got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tobachiri FC's Roger Botella played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rocio Luey in the 62nd minute of play. When Wilson Padron fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tobachiri FC's protests and gave Wilson Padron a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Tobachiri FC's Wilson Padron got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Justavino Gandulla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xalbador Araña having to interfere. If Justavino Gandulla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of CD Vainilla booed when Tobachiri FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Urtzi Porras didn't get a good kick on the ball. Xalbador Araña showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Urtzi Porras, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. 88 minutes into the match, Tobachiri FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ugaitz Rosinos came free, but Roger Botella reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Tobachiri FC defense, Rocio Luey kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roger Botella. The Tobachiri FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roger Botella should have stopped the shot. In the 96th minute, Justavino Gandulla fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Xalbador Araña, passed just outside the right post. Urtzi Porras struck a weak shot in the 99th minute. Xalbador Araña didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tobachiri FC. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. CD Vainilla had won after a very even match.
