One of CD Pindilic:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of CD Canoa:s goal. In the 20th minute there was a penalty for CD Canoa. Xan Somoano stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Peter Malmonje. 1-0. Jaime Monzon kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Lopez Cañellas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Torres Carmona having to interfere. Torres Carmona made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lopez Cañellas in the 27th minute of play. A collision led to CD Canoa getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lopez Cañellas in the 31st minute of play forced CD Canoa's goalkeeper Torres Carmona to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Angel Mandelo managed to get in a good position for a shot. CD Canoa's supporters rose to their feet, but Angel Mandelo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Peter Malmonje breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lopez Cañellas made a kick off. If Stalin Salabaste had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd minute, Lopez Cañellas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Peter Malmonje took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ovidio Quiroz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 72 minutes, Paiva Zabalo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CD Pindilic and the CD Canoa players grew even worse after the yellow card. Paiva Zabalo kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lopez Cañellas got free with Torres Carmona in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
