Yoelvis Matias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Bascal in the 3rd minute of the match. With a little luck, CD Opar's Yoelvis Matias got control of the ball when Victorio Pradias tried to sneak it across the goal line. Camilo Senderos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolas Diestro in the 14th minute of play. The supporters of CD Opar booed when Vilcabamba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aguinaga Ezquierdo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yoelvis Matias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Bascal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolas Diestro in the 31st minute of play forced Vilcabamba's goalkeeper Camilo Senderos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Hector-Luis Alcubierre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Victorio Pradias scored 1-1 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Yoelvis Matias, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Yoelvis Matias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hector-Luis Alcubierre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Victorio Pradias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Yoelvis Matias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sergio Seto kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Nando Llamazares got free with Camilo Senderos in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, CD Opar's Sergio Seto got a free kick in the 55th minute. Cagua Miranes charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cagua Miranes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Vilcabamba booed when CD Opar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cagua Miranes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Vilcabamba's Victorio Vilarrubia tried to score from far away in the 59th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 61st minute Hector-Luis Alcubierre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yoelvis Matias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sergio Seto hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vilcabamba's goalkeeper Camilo Senderos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Victorio Pradias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 71 minutes CD Opar's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Victorio Vilarrubia who took care of the corner kick. Hector-Luis Alcubierre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Yoelvis Matias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Victorio Pradias's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yoelvis Matias read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. Victorio Pradias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nando Llamazares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camilo Senderos having to interfere. Patricio Bascal hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Nando Llamazares who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 86thth minute tested the skills of Camilo Senderos when he managed to save the team from getting behind. CD Opar's Nando Llamazares got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 96 minutes into the match, CD Opar's goal looked a bit too open when Victorio Pradias came free, but Yoelvis Matias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
