Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Emilio Melgarejo started the match with the kick off. Felix Inguanzo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yépez Pelayo in the 7th minute of play. Felix Inguanzo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luzuriaga Bernat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 22 minutes into the match, UD Gualilagua's goal looked a bit too open when Domingo Bendicho came free, but Felix Inguanzo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ariel Boo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 29 minutes into the game, Gomez Trabado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. UD Salanguillo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave UD Gualilagua the free kick. Gomez Trabado hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Felix Inguanzo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yépez Pelayo in the 32nd minute of play. Felix Inguanzo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yépez Pelayo, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ariel Boo got free with Loco Piñango in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 35th match minute, UD Salanguillo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Veremundo Olaso to maneuver through the defense. Ariel Boo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Loco Piñango firmly grabbed it by the left post. If Yépez Pelayo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Loco Piñango made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Ariel Boo sent off a good shot on target. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luzuriaga Bernat made a kick off. Loco Piñango showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ariel Boo in the 52nd minute of the match. Yépez Pelayo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felix Inguanzo having to interfere. Felix Inguanzo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luzuriaga Bernat in the 59th minute of play. Emilio Melgarejo's late challenge caught a UD Salanguillo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emilio Melgarejo helped the player get up and apologised. Ariel Boo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to UD Gualilagua getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Emilio Melgarejo hit a great ball. With a little luck, UD Gualilagua's Felix Inguanzo got control of the ball when Yépez Pelayo tried to sneak it across the goal line. 76 minutes into the match, UD Salanguillo's goal looked a bit too open when Ariel Boo came free, but Loco Piñango reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ariel Boo struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Loco Piñango didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UD Gualilagua. Kaviedes Banda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 82nd minute, Yépez Pelayo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 84 played minutes UD Salanguillo got a freekick which was hit by Luzuriaga Bernat. If Luzuriaga Bernat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 89 minutes into the match, UD Salanguillo's Luzuriaga Bernat sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Felix Inguanzo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Luzuriaga Bernat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Felix Inguanzo made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Yépez Pelayo sent off a good shot on target. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. UD Salanguillo had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
