Leon Arevalo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enrique Reiriz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 6 minutes into the game, Criban Duque was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cuhembi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Colaiza the free kick. The supporters of Colaiza booed when Cuhembi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Criban Duque didn't get a good kick on the ball. Asensio Comacho struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Cruz Mocellar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Colaiza. Tonio Urturi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Cruz Mocellar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 12 minutes, Tonio Urturi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Colaiza's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tonio Urturi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Asensio Comacho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cruz Mocellar having to interfere. The supporters of Cuhembi booed when Colaiza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kléber Holgado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cuhembi's Jácome Corujo couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 24th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Colaiza. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrique Reiriz in the 28th minute of play forced Colaiza's goalkeeper Leon Arevalo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cuhembi's Cruz Mocellar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Cuhembi from getting a goal against them. Cuhembi's Ramos Mahabe got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 47th minute of the game. One of Colaiza:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cuhembi:s goal. In the 49th minute there was a penalty for Cuhembi. Jácome Corujo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Leon Arevalo. 0-1.

Silvio Alves kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Colaiza defense, Ramos Mahabe kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leon Arevalo. The Colaiza fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leon Arevalo should have stopped the shot. 93 minutes into the match, Colaiza's goalkeeper Leon Arevalo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ramos Mahabe. 97 minutes into the match, Cuhembi's Enrique Reiriz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leon Arevalo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cuhembi's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
