After having played for 15 minutes, Benjamin Zamudio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UD Ayahuaycu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benjamin Zamudio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Leandro Orbe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xofre Maya having to interfere. Javier Casa took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Xantalen Viñuela. Xantalen Viñuela dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 44th minute Leandro Orbe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xofre Maya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Boyaca SC's Xofre Maya got control of the ball when Benjamin Zamudio tried to sneak it across the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Leandro Orbe made the kick off in the second half. Xofre Maya took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leandro Orbe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benjamin Zamudio might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Xofre Maya. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benjamin Zamudio ran back to his position shaking his head. 66 minutes into the match, Leandro Orbe notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Boyaca SC's Xofre Maya. Xofre Maya was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Edgardo Romay might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Xantalen Viñuela. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edgardo Romay ran back to his position shaking his head. After recieving a nice pass, Boyaca SC's Ariel Urioste tried to score from far away in the 77th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Xofre Maya came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by UD Ayahuaycu's Leandro Orbe. But to his dismay, Leandro Orbe quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. After a rather tough play, UD Ayahuaycu's Gilmar Ansola got a free kick in the 84th minute. Xantalen Viñuela stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Javier Casa's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. A collision led to Boyaca SC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Uriel Felix hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Boyaca SC's zone, Leandro Orbe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Xofre Maya came out of the goal and Leandro Orbe tried to chip the ball over his head. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. UD Ayahuaycu had won after a very even match.
