Santo Larquera could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Javier Lombas made a huge save. Javier Lombas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Walter Abeitia's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Xaver Garabito managed to get in a good position for a shot. Botadero SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Xaver Garabito was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rixon Cardon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luis Urturi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Rixon Cardon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Xaver Garabito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to UD Tucos getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Alonzo Mendibuey hit a great ball. If Luis Urturi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The audience was convinced that Walter Abeitia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Javier Lombas was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. When Lara Falguera fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Botadero SC's protests and gave Lara Falguera a yellow card for diving instead. After 68 minutes, Ruperto Bullan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the UD Tucos and the Botadero SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 68th minute, Ruperto Bullan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rixon Cardon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Urturi in the 70th minute of play. Leandro Santatis was slow to take the kick. During this time UD Tucos's players had a chance to rest. The supporters of Botadero SC booed when UD Tucos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diego Carreiras didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rixon Cardon came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Botadero SC's Lara Falguera. But to his dismay, Lara Falguera quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Lara Falguera got his second yellow card in the match during the 91st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Botadero SC's Lara Falguera got a free kick in the 92nd minute. When Santo Larquera came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the UD Tucos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Santo Larquera couldn't finish the play. Botadero SC's Javier Lombas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walter Abeitia in the 95th minute of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
